Visible second persons, notes, and phone glances still matter. Stealth overlays and copilots matter more for many remote interviews. Design controls for both.

Prefer evidence over accusation
Operators and reviewers need timelines and structured observations. Vague risk scores create disputes and weak enforcement. Separate possible assistance from proven misconduct.

Match assurance to stakes
Not every session needs live monitoring. Volume screens can use async review; finals and credentialing may need live visibility. Over-proctoring increases drop-off without always increasing signal.
